New Location at 102 W. 5th St.                                        Photo: Ed Fuentes

Celebrating our 7th anniversary at our new expanded location!
From its humble beginnings on Melrose in Hollywood to the fast growth entering into the community of new galleries early on in downtown’s Gallery Row, L.A. Center for Digital Art and its director Rex Bruce have been an international digital art dynamo. LACDA is now in its seventh year and has expanded once again moving directly across the street to 102 W. 5th. The new space at corner of 5th and Main is nearly 4 times the size of the former location and is a beautifully appointed gallery with new lighting and space for several exhibits to run simultaneously. As well, the new space features very large window displays making opportunity for more public art, something that has always been part the LACDA vision. There is a much larger workspace for the creation of prints and fabrication of artworks. There are also plans for an electronic audio studio and a video exhibition room has now been completed.

In the project window

Digital art defines the contemporary. The Los Angeles Center For Digital Art is dedicated to the propagation of all forms of digital art, new media, digital video art, net art, digital sculpture, interactive multimedia, and the vast panorama of hybrid forms of art and technology that constitute our moment in culture. We are committed to supporting local, international, emerging and established artists through exposure in our gallery. We have an ongoing schedule of exhibits and competitions, produce editions of wide format archival prints, and collaborate in the production of digital artworks in our studio. As well we are involved with curating digital exhibits at institutions and festivals outside of the LACDA gallery schedule.
